This research delves into Nigeria's historical role in the management of sub-regional conflicts, with a particular focus on its pivotal involvement in the Liberian and Sierra-Leonean crises. The study investigates Nigeria's diplomatic, military, and humanitarian contributions in addressing the multifaceted challenges presented by these conflicts, highlighting the country's unique position as a regional stabilizing force. Analyzing the key events and strategies employed by Nigeria, the research seeks to unravel the complexities of its intervention, examining the motivations, successes, and limitations encountered during the peacekeeping operations.
